Had a jam packed weekend, sorry about the lack of commenting. Went to Whitby on Saturday, and had a bit of a vintage-sign-photographing-fest.

I love your photos! Unfortunately, I will probably never get to go to Whitby because I am a smug self-obsessed Londoner, who thinks that anything north of Crouch End is practically Scotland.
1) Green Wing/JRT, obviously! 2) Um... I don't know, to be honest! Do you associate anything with me? 3) I buy The Times every Saturday just for the Body & Soul section. I LIVE for that bit! 4) Most probably much *SQUEEE* about Caromac/JRT/GW 5) Oh, this is a hard one...! ;) 6) Dairy milk or Galaxy? [/random] 7) I would have to say your lovely default yellow Mac, or

1) Well, because you friended me. And because of all teh squeeing and because we are teh awsome. Basically. 2) Ummmm.......David Grey. No particular song. Or Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls because of that vid you did. 3) I have just finished watching Trainspotting and it zoomed to the top of my fave films ever list. 4) You were the first ever person to comment in my journal. 5) Oh god, that's tricky...but I'm gonna be different and say Jack/Gwen. *shakes head and tuts* 6) Have you ever found yourself drifting off to the CaroGuy side? 7)I'm not too good with icons but all of yours are pretty amazing. I stole the one you have now so I'll say that one.
6) Yes and no. Because I only started watching properly from S2E03, I didn't have much of a clue about CaroMac or CaroGuy, but it was in episode 5 with the Proper Kiss that I remember leaping up and squeeeing v loudly, so I think CaroMac got in there first.
Although at the end of that episode the Poker Kiss was slightly squee-inducing, and I thought Guy might be a bit of a sweetheart because he actually seemed to love her. But then I spoke to some people and they explained how much of a wanker Guy had always been, so I went off him, and then fell back in love with him (and even more with Mac!) when I watched S1/the rest of S2.
But in the end, it's got to be CaroMac, hasn't it? I do however like the idea (well, I don't but I do) of CaroGuy after Mac's gone, for example in your fic and ones by the fabulous leiascully, because that's making her happy in Mac's memory. But in an ideal world where Mac goes around on his little hamster wheel for years and years and years, he and Caro are the only way I'm afraid. :D
I do so agree. It has to be CaroMac, doesn't it? It's the fairytale that doesn't quite come true because in real life they don't let you end up with Prince Charming, you settle for half, you take the second choice.
Oh, and when i saw the "proper kiss" for the first time, I leapt up off my seat, literally, jumped about a foot, punched the air and yelled, "YES!" at the top of my voice, to the very great bemusement of my sister.
I like a consider myself a veteran, having watched right from the very start of Series 1, Episode 1.
Caromac and the Proper Kiss (plus subsequent Apology and Banana and Wedding kisses, and preceeding Toilet and Lecture Theatre (?) ones) fill me up with love and squee and something warm and fuzzy and yummy in my tummy. *sighs*
(PS I'm a Dairy Milk girl all the way - shame on you!)
This is a problem that my mother has often commented on with some worry in her voice: when it comes to romance, I always prefer the chase/angst/misunderstandings to the walking into the sunset, and there seemed to be a bit too much walking into the sunset for me in the SSpecial.
I loved the Proper Kiss because it was in the midst of all the Holly!angst and for me it just said, "We're doing it against all the odds", which was one of primary attractions to the CaroMac ship- despite every single obstacle (which came in copious amounts) they still knew that the goal they wanted at the end of it was each other.
Perhaps the Special was a bit of a let-down for me because nothing could live up to that anticipation? Plus there wasn't enough humour mixed with the romance. One of the great things about the love triangle was its fanastic humour, as well as all that scrummy angst :P
Right, meme me!

God that all sounds maudlin.
P.S. Galaxy. But I'll buy Dairy Milk more often.
