Samhain Ritual
The Circle had a fabulous ritual on Samhain. We were up the hill as usual, but it had been raining pretty heavy the few days before that so the ground was pretty soggy,
However, the ritual itself, whilst not always a performance of art, you could tell it was really in tune with what was going on energy wise with the land. We unbound the Maypole to release the energies built up over the Spring/Summer season and released that which either didn't work out or is no longer needed in our lives. We had a fabulous shared feast though I think we were all glad to be finish and int he warmth of a local pub by the end. It's always nice to be dry.
I also had the idea for a dance, which although chaotic and in out eyes didn't quite work, I really feel it worked spiritually.
