He couldn’t help but feel thankful.
The blood was pounding through her veins once more.
What had once been a cold and lifeless body…
Now it was warm again.
Her scent had returned.
Fresh to his nostrils, and oh-so-welcoming.
He didn’t care what she thought.
The minute she sat up and gasped for breath,
That very moment of truth he had grabbed her and brought her against his chest.
She was warm in this cold environment.
The blizzard raged around him,
And she was shivering slightly,
But she was alive and all he could think was that.
She was alive.
And she was warm.
Oh so warm.
She paused in her struggling against him.
What was he doing?
He was her enemy.
He hated humans.
But here he was,
This powerful taiyoukai was hugging her so tightly she could hardly breath.
And yet the cold touch she had once expected of him,
That cold touch had thawed into a warm embrace.
And he was warm.
Oh so warm.
And it felt so good.
Something this good should be illegal.
She was faintly aware of her surroundings.
A blizzard.
A frozen tree.
Knee-high snow drifts.
What had happened?
Where was Inuyasha?
The warm embrace loosened around her as she was readjusted to be carried.
When the warmth returned, it flooded her like a wave.
She didn’t know how to handle it.
Her hand reflexively tightened around his fluffy.
Even that thing was warm!
He was so warm.
Something this good should be illegal.
