Kagome ignored the pounding at her door and curled up on the couch. Sesshoumaru had been knocking for the past twenty minutes, but she still couldn’t bring herself to open the door. How could he lie to her and expect everything to be okay?
“Kagome! Open the door so we can talk.”
She glared at the door, hoping that he could feel her daggers through the wood. “Go. Away.”
“I’m not going anywhere until you talk to me.”
“Sesshoumaru I really can’t handle this right now. Please, just…go away,” she pleaded, her emotions still in overdrive from earlier and she didn’t think she was capable of talking to him at the moment. As bad as he hurt her, she didn’t want to say anything she would regret.

Kagome groaned as she sat up from her place on the couch. The sun shone deceivingly bright through her windows, and she got up to fetch her morning paper.
Looking through the peep hole, she made sure Sesshoumaru wasn’t there before opening the door. She gasped quietly when she noticed him fast asleep on the floor, leaning against the wall.
Debating whether or not to wake him, she finally bit her lip while a tear escaped her eye and walked back into her apartment, quietly closing the door behind her. She couldn’t help the feelings of deception that welled up in her when she looked at him and decided that it would be best to end it.
They were just too different.
