Sesshomaru looked down with disdain at the petit human female who stood before him, her raven hair falling in waves down her back.
“Come on Sesshomaru, you know it isn’t going to kill you to do as I ask!” Kagome stated as she glared up at him.
A silver eyebrow disappeared into his hairline as he responded. “Hn.”
A sigh of exasperation passed her lips with his response. “Surely a great demon lord, such as yourself, has an extensive vocabulary and can say more than ‘Hn’.”
Sesshomaru growled at her for mocking him, then turned away from the annoying little onna and started walking into the woods. Pausing in his retreat, he looked over his shoulder. “This Sesshomaru has mastery over this language and many more.”
Waiting patiently for him to continue, Kagome walked slowly up to him.
Turning to face her once again, he gazed into her bright blue eyes. “Certainly, you must know actions, speak louder than words.”
Knowing she wasn’t crazy for making this request, she stood her ground. “Yes, I know this is true, but it doesn’t mean words can’t be as powerful.”
Sesshomaru pondered over her statement while looking at her small form, standing so defiantly. Coming to a decision, he leaned down and whispered, “I love you, Kagome Higurashi,” as his lips gently brushed against the shell of her ear.
Smiling happily she threw her arms around his neck and whispered back, “See, that didn't hurt a bit, did it.”
“Hn,” he responded, while capturing her lips in a passionate kiss.
