I get to go to the President's Ball!!!
I'm so excited. Nick and I weren't going to go because there is a production of "Guys and Dolls" that night, but then somebody said, "Why don't you just go after the show?" I thought it was a marvelous idea, and so we are!! I don't get to spend hours getting ready, but who really needs to anyway? Just slap on a little bit of makeup, do something decent with my hair, and bring my dress and shoes. So what if we get there late, nothing happens the first half of a formal anyway! *I'm still excited*
I should be reading "Hamlet" for my dramatic lit class, but I can only stomach so much Shakespeare at one time. I only have twelve pages left, but it's so much. The paper is due Tuesday, and I was trying to do as much of the reading as I could today, because god knows that I'm not gonna do anything school related tomorrow. So there's not much to do in Richmond on Valentines Day if you're poor, but...we'll think of somethng.
I just want to apologize for everybody that has had to hear me complain one time or another about Nick. We're both going through some pretty crappy things, and so times have been rough. But it's better. *yay*
Today I went to walmart to get bleach so I could do my laundry before work at 5. Nick and Anna went too. I ended up buying way more than just bleach! I got cool pin nail polish. (For some reason I've wanted pink nail polish for a while. Who knew?) After walmart we went to the mall (Anna wanted some things from Goody's) I found this dress that is so cool. It's strapless, black, and...netty? (can I say that?) Anyway, it has this net stuff over the fabric, and it's rouched at the top. There's a pink ribbon for around the waist, and the bottom is all assymetrical, and layers of the sheer net stuff. And, the very bottom is pink robbon. It was so cool. Damn me being a Taurus and always wanting the really expensive things.
So I put these fake nails on while I was at work earlier, and then painted them. They were french manicures, so I was just going to leave them french, but where I had surgery on my finger that one nail looked funny. Oh well... Can I just say what a fun time I'm having trying to type with these things on. (It's not really that bad, just awkward.)
I never got laundry done, but after I get off work I'm gonna run to Keene and bring it back here (Sullivan) and Nick, Anna, Marissa, and I are gonna do laundry together. Maybe I'll finish reading Hamlet....
