Hilarious things that happened
A couple really funny things happened this week.
Funny thing #1: Was talking to a female teacher in English (she studied it in her university). She was saying, "The students love you!", to which I smiled and said, "Oh yeah?" Then she said "Me too!" I was thinking like "Whoaaa! You love me too, huh?!" After she said it though, I think she realized her mistake and got embarrassed or something because she quickly went back to her desk to do work.
Funny thing #2: We were playing a Japanese game called Karuta, a game where the kids sit around a bunch of cards spread out in front of them, wait for the teacher to call out a card, and then the fastest to grab the right one gets it. We played with English alphabet cards, and after a few rounds, I noticed one of my favorite students had a few cards she had won lined up in front of her. The cards she randomly laid out in front of her spelled out as plain as day, "SEX". Now, this girl was a really good student and extremely pure at heart, so I KNOW she didn't do it on purpose. I was very "OMG" on the inside.
