yesterday, a job candidate asked me what i like (most) about my job.
i was surprised to actually have an answer.
half of what i said to him was made up to fill time and try to impress him, but the other half was true. i was happy and surprised to realize the truth.
i like learning.
i like knowing some things about this area that people who have lived here their entire lives don't know. i like knowing how to spell certain street names or how to spell the assistant district attorney's name. the information i currently have in my brain would be useless anywhere else, but i'm happy to have been able to learn it. i like that i have been able to learn the names of mayors, police chiefs, village administrators, judges, crime suspects ...
once i'm done learning, i'm definitely leaving ...
