“Where am I?” she asked herself while walking through the streets of her district. It should take 5 minutes from her apartment to the subway station. Her name is Inoue Mao, an actress since the age of 4. She is known for her role in Kids war. She recently graduated in Meiji University with a degree in Theater Arts with minor in Mandarin. She is an intelligent and witty girl but she has a weakness in remembering routes.
After 15 minutes wondering around, she finally gave up and asked the newspaper vendor for directions.
She was finally at the subway station. She just recently bought a train pass so that she will not have a difficult time lining up at the ticket booth. Mao was walking to her terminal when someone bumped her from behind causing her to move forward and collided with a little girl holding an ice cream cone. The cold dessert was on Mao’s shirt
“Are you okay?” she asked the little girl.
The girl looked at her down at the ice cream cone that is now on the floor. Mao quickly knelt down to the girl that was about to cry.
“I’m sorry.” trying to control the kid’s tears. “I’ll buy you a new one, okay? Where is your mom?”
The girl pointed at her mother which was seated at the bench.
“Arigato” the little girl thanked Mao with a toothy smile and immediately ran to her mother. Mao bought one for her. After all ice cream is her favorite comfort food.
In the train, she was trying to remove the ice cream stain from her shirt but no avail. She was wearing a white shirt with a chocolate ice cream stain in the middle. She just sighed in disbelief and opted to change her shirt when she reaches the studio.
At last, she reached TBS building and made a dash for the elevator. She pressed for the button of her floor and leaned against the wall. “I’m exhausted.” she mumbled
She was about to close the elevator door when someone rushed inside. This is not just a SOMEONE, but it was Matsumoto Jun. She was taken aback by the sight of the most popular idol in Japan. Mao greeted him but he didn’t even look at her. ‘People are right about him, he is cold and he is a snub.’ She just acted that he was not in the elevator.
Moments later, noticed that he was looking at her. ‘What is he looking at?’ she thought. Mao unconsciously covered her stained shirt. She asked him if there is something wrong he said none. ‘Maybe he thinks that I don’t laundry my clothes, or maybe he thinks that I dressed in the dark.’ She just gave her a weird look and tries to ignore his stares.
After 3 minutes of awkward silence, the elevator doors open. Aiba was waiting for Jun. he pulled Jun out the elevator, complaining that he was late.
‘There goes his cool image.’
She watched the scene infront of her and headed opposite their direction.
Mao finally reached her dressing room, she found her manager, Suki, on the computer.
“What happened?” she asked
“I bumped into a kid holding an ice cream cone at the subway.” She opened her bag and pulled out a shirt.
“I just got a call from the office and they told me that you are staring in a new drama this fall.”
“Who will be my co-star?” she asked while changing her shirt in the bathroom.
“They didn’t say but they’ll just call me for the details.”
“Oh, okay. Will I play a high school student again?” the two ladies laughed.
“Do you want something to eat?” her manager asked.
“Are you treating me for lunch?” a mischievous grin was on Mao’s face.
“Hmmm… let me think… ok.”
“Come on let’s go.” Mao pulled Suki and they were headed to the TBS cafeteria.
Suki got herself a bowl of ramen and Mao was still looking for what to eat.
“Hurry up will you, I’m starving.” Suki was taping her feet a sign of irritation.
“Okay, I just have a bowl of soba please”, she asked the food attendant.
When she finally got her hot bowl of soba, “Smells good” she was so excited smelling her soba that she didn’t notice that she was about to bump someone.
“My shirt, it’s hot!” Jun exclaimed.
“Oh, OH! I’m sorry”, Mao took out her handkerchief and wipe the broth on Jun’s shirt.
“YOU!” giving her an angry glare.
Note: Guess who bumped into her in the subway?
