Bye, Daddy!
We all went out to the lake yesterday. And by "we," I mean Dad, Mom, Jana, Jake, Crystal, Kellyn, Levi, Kaylee and me. Kaylee could only go because we bought her a lifejacket yesterday afternoon. Kellyn wanted to buy her this horrible orange one, but I overruled her in favor of one with dinosaurs on it.
She was excited to watch her daddy wakeboard. Every time Jake would be skimming along behind the boat she'd wave enthusiastically and yell, "Hi, Da-da!" and he'd wave back and she'd grin.
Then, when he fell the last time, she said sadly, "Bye, Da-da..."
I got up on one ski! *Does the happy dance* I mean, I obviously fell after like, two seconds, but I still got up. It was really an accident that got the whole "Let's see if Kelsey can ski on one ski!" thing started, because I went over a wave and one of my skis fell off.
But still. Dad kept offering to give me the other ski back so I could get upright and then drop one off, and I kept yelling, "No! I'm going to do it with ONE!" and Mom kept yelling, "I TOLD you to put that ski DOWN! She doesn't want it!"
We are a determined bunch. :)
