Doctors Visit
I went to the doctor today. It's been over a year since I saw my doctor, and this is only the second time seeing her, so she doesn't have any history on me yet. She realized that, and said I should have a full blood panel done, so I am fasting tonight and going in at 8am tomorrow to have that done. The original reason for going today was to have her do a check up so she could refill my meds, and up the dosage on it, which she gladly did. She also told me about this clinical weight loss/ healthy nutrition program she is involved with, and is going to give me some info on it. She said that insurance might pay for it, and said that if i wanted to do it that i could. She said its a very detailed program personalized around my needs, kinda like having a personal coach. Its not like all those generic programs out there thats the same for everyone that joins, like Nutrisystem or jenny craig, or south beach, or whatever. They do actual tests to find out about your metabolism, your blood work, and what your body needs to be healthy and take weight off and keep it off. the doctors actually have to go to a training thing in NY to be certified for this, and the program has a 99% success rate for people keeping weight off for 3 consecutive years. She didn't go into detail about it other than that, so i need to find out more info before I decide. If its conducive to my schedule and my budget then i might do it.
In other news:
My Mom is coming to visit me next weekend. She is bringing me a bunch of boxes full of my stuff, to look through and decide what to keep and what she can sell at a garage sale she is having. She is getting ready to move in a few months, so she is going through everything right now.
Then my boy is coming the weekend after that, labor day weekend. I am so excited about seeing him, and it far out-weighs the nervousness about meeting in person for the first time. We haven't known each other that long, but it just feels like forever. I feels right, and it feels good. He bought the tickets last night, his flight comes in thursday evening and he will be staying through the following monday evening. so 4 whole days of lovin and snuggles and kisses and happiness. I can't wait!
