If Morning Musume was the Titanic, Fifth gen was the iceberg, the senior "old school generation" was the iceberg scraping against the hull, and now that Yagu's gone, the entire "old school cast" (Minus Ayaka but she didn't do anything really) is dead. The ship has split in two pieces but Tsunku doesn't know when to fold his cards or change gears.
As far as the rest of the cast:
Yossui can sing sort of I guess, but she's pretty unpopular amongst fans. It's going to be really hard to rally up the fans around someone who isn't really that
Who's going to be the sub leader? Takahashi? HAHAHAHAHAHA no, she is completely and totally useless. I don't know if you saw her on Best Hits with Matthew, but he was DYING because she was completely and totally duller than dirt. No personality at all. The only one worth half a crap is Miki, and she's still awful.
Ogawa? Hahaha, not a chance for oba-san. Niigaki? She's got absolutely nothing redeeming. Konno isn't cute, Sayu can't sing, Reina is not idol material, Kamei can't dance. We're now into full on LOSER MUSUME. It's the Freshman football team trying to fill in for the Patriots at the Superbowl.
Rika must be complete and utterly bullshit over this news though. This was HER goodbye. Not Yagu's. This is going to kill her graduation.
