I've been so preoccupied with my submissions (BTW, form letter rejection #2) and baby updates that I've barely discussed anything else. So here's a few random updates.
I don't know if it's psychosomatic or what, but my hip has been a nightmare for me. Stairs are awful and I dread them terribly. The floor here at school is horrible. The mall? Same thing. I used to get such joy from walking around B&N or Borders, checking out this book or that but now any longer than 15 minutes and I'm in agony. This has been going on for a while, but now I have a focus for the anger. It sucks. I just keep thinking it'll get better next year.
The gym and diet have been going extremely well! I've been good if not great on my diet and I've been consistently working out. Called the doctor on Friday to ask about leg workouts, to which he told me NO weights for my legs. This is severly disappointing but makes sense. Leg days consists of extentions, curls, 30 minutes on stationary bike, 15 minutes on elliptical. It kind of sucks. But my workouts are going quite well! I'm trying not to weigh myself, but I'm sure once I find a scale, I will. (My gym's scale tops out at 300, which I'm still far from I think.)
Writingwise, I've peered at Spring's Tempest over the weekend and I like it. There's work that needs to be done on it, but that's what revision is for. Plus I think I want to add a POV to the project. The POV that I've said may have earned a POV. I think she has. Plus I started thinking about Summer's Strife. Yes, this keeps changing titles because I'm still convinced it's going to be 2 seperate books. I have very big ideas for those books and they are going to take some very specific planning to work it out. I can't even think about the final book yet...I need to get through the "Summer books" first.
Scrub Club is stalled for now. I don't know what it is, but I'm just not sure what I'm going to do with it. There's actually a part of me that wants to do a quick revision of what's written so I can get back into the project. I think there's something there, but I'm really bogged down in a lot of the story. I'm obviously NOT finishing this one by the suggested due date.
My "fourth" book is still in flux, though I had an epiphany this morning as I was sitting here while my 10s are "working" on their essays. I might start planning that soon though I'm not sure when it will get written. I have to finish the outline for Summer's Strife and estimate a word count so I can figure out when I SHOULD finish it by and wedge the 4th book in there.
Or maybe I'm just insane considering my wife is days from giving birth to our first child.
