Mother's Day

May 13, 2012 13:41

I found myself feeling very depressed earlier. I thought it was because I had a lot on my mind and a lot going on, and that may have been part of it.

But then I remembered that today is Mother's Day.

I miss you, Mom.

Thanks. I think I'm okay for tonight. I have rehearsal at 6pm. But maybe we can do dinner or coffee/tea again some time this week.

Give a call if you like this week. We may be out doing things like baby checkups and so forth, but I'm off work until after Memorial Day.

Thanks. I may do that. And, in fact, I have next week off, so I might visit my dad one of those days. And if I do, I'd love to come by and say hi to little Jana while I'm up there.

*sends digital hugs* Best I can do, with consideration for the distance between me and where you're at.

By all means, pester me for silly art related things :)

Sounds good. :) I did some work on my photo business website recently, and I'm hoping I'll be ready for a June 1 launch (delayed due to the surgery, obviously). Take a look and let me know what you think: http://www.or-it-didnt-happen.com

I like the layout :) Easy to navigate is always A Good Thing. Also like the way the galleries are set up. If you want, I can link and promote the site via my twitter (since I do not have a facebook) when you're ready for launch.

The opening set of images definitely helps sell the business too; between the fire breathers, the pan-galactic gargle blaster, and the pic of what looks like a dust storm(?), I'd say you've got a sweet gig going on.

Wish I could afford it. (unemployment sucks)

Great! Thank you. I still have a couple of pages to create, like the booking calendar and the rates page.

And good guess on the "natural phenomenon". That was actually the view from my deck on the first day of the October 2004 San Diego wildfires. The whole sky was blanketed in smoke, and the sun shone orange, as if we were on Mars. It was truly surreal. (In fact, the original title of that image was "San Diego, Mars".)

And yes, I'd be very happy to have you promote the site through your Twitter. Thank you! :) As for being able to "afford it", I'm always willing to barter with friends, so we can negotiate if there's something you'd like shot. (Then again, you're not in San Diego, so it might be more difficult ... but not impossible!)
