A while back, I subscribed to Lifehacker's Google+ feed. For a while, I wasn't really paying much attention, but the other day something caught my eye . . . and now I'm finding new gems every day. Not huge life-changing revelations, but little things that seem like they'd be useful to know.

For instance, an article today entitled "How Turning My To-Dos Into a Story Boosted My Memory and Solved My Procrastination Problem" struck me as particularly useful for me, for two reasons: the first, obviously, is that it could help my memory and possibly alleviate my procrastination problem; the other is that it would get me writing in a narrative style every day, which almost every writer I know says is the absolute best way to keep the writing juices flowing. As I've mentioned in the past, I'm writing a novel that I originally started in August of 2009, and it is not yet finished. Both the other man in my two-man writing group (trinopus) and the co-creator of the universe I'm writing in (my old friend Ed, who has no LJ, alas) have been jumping up and down on me trying to get me to write more, so anything that would encourage more writing would be a good thing, I think.

I also recently saw articles on how to foil RFID thieves, an iPhone app that helps you plan meals and shop for the necessary groceries, and how to avoid owing money or getting huge refunds on your taxes. And a lot of others. It's a fun and very useful site.
