Note to self: "Mac Compatible" doesn't always mean my Mac...
I bought a computer drawing tablet for my Mac on eBay. The description (both on the auction itself and on the website) said that the item works with Macintosh. What those description didn't say was that it only works with Mac OS 9.x-I had to find this out by scouring the website until I could find the system requirements.
The good news is...it works with Windows XP and earlier, so if you haven't upgraded to Vista and you'd like a drawing tablet, drop me a line. I can give you a good price.

EDIT: As it happens, Aiptek does have OSX drivers for this pad. Unfortunately, they won't install on my machine. Grrrr....
FURTHER EDIT: I found out that the Aiptek Hyperpen 12000U is identical (or at least very similar) to the Adesso 12000 pad, and Adesso's drivers work on my machine! Hurrah! I have a drawing pad that works! YAY!
