So, I just realized that I haven't posted in quite a while. Pretty much, this is because my life has become less exciting and more busy and stressful since my return, but, it is no less fulfilling. I am happy to be back at K, and although this means that I can no longer jump on a plane to a different country any time I want, it does mean that I am back with my best friends in the world. =) I really miss all of my new friends in London and from around the world though as well as the city itself. Hopefully I will return one day, but until then, I will update you on the happenings of my life here in the US.
I returned about a month ago and spent a very nice, yet hectic, week at home unpacking, washing, repacking and running various errands as well as going to doctor's appointments etc. I was able to spend some quality time with my amazing grandmother though and this was great because I was able to celebrate her 90th birthday with her. I also got a new PINK cell phone which was maybe the highlight of that week (besides seeing my family of course)!
After my week at home I returned triumphantly to K and was almost immediately able to see all of my amazing friends. It was great! Then, classes started and I am happy to say that I am satisfied with all of my classes, including my non-majors Chem class. Junior Seminar and Multiculturalism of Greco-Roman Egypt are of course very interesting to me as a history major so I am content. I have been running around like crazy doing Dems stuff, Junior Grad Committee stuff, SIP stuff etc.
And yes, I do actually have a SIP! YAY!!! I am going to research the Henderson Castle and it is going to be amazing (hopefully!).
In other great news, I was offered the position of a Senior RA for next year! I am super psyched because the competition was high and I really wanted this job.
So, other than that, I must say that despite the fact that I have actual work and cannot go to see professional theatre every night of the week here, I am happy to be back. Adjusting is hard and I miss my British friends a painful amount but I hope that one day soon they will make a pilgrimage across the pond to come see me!
Hope all is well with all of you.
Cheers!
