I'm feeling much better than the last time I updated here. Basically, my doc had me stop my anti-depressant and back off on my mood stabilizer. Then, today, I switched to new meds. I haven't been on lithium since I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2002. So, stupid me, I take the first dose with just a tiny glass of milk. Cue sickness. I took the second dose with a more substantial meal and was fine. So just got to remember to have a snack with my last dose before I go to bed. I'm also on Cymbalta, which is completely new to me. Wow, a med I haven't been on before. We'll see how this goes.
Today I made chicken fried rice. Which is a misnomer since it was more vegetables than either rice or chicken. It's part of this thing my dietician has me doing. Every meal is supposed to have more veggies and fruits than anything else. And then I'm not supposed to eat any carbs with the word "enriched" in the ingredients. So now I'm one of those people who spends forever in the bread aisle reading packages. But I've lost three pounds since I started, which is way better than the weight I was gaining, I suppose.
Yesterday, I hung out with
dugindeep at
Carnivale where we learned to make so many yummy sauces. Om nom nom. So much fun! :D
