Let me tell you about this kitchen nonsense. So my contractor is a really nice Russian dude. He ripped everything out Friday to give me the time to paint over the weekend. Fantabulous. Except that I wanted to paint my kitchen candy apple red and it took like a 100 coats, no joke. Today he only got three cabinets up though because apparently my west wall is concrete? Meanwhile, my new appliances were supposed to show up at 1:45pm, but didn't show up until 5:30pm. They were supposed to haul away my old stuff but a) my old stove requires an electrician to disconnect it and b) they couldn't figure out how to get the stuff through the door anyway. So Russian dude is going to show up tomorrow expecting my old appliances to be gone and they won't be plus my new appliances are sitting in my living room/hallway and I am forced to climb over some of them to go to the bathroom. On the plus side, he's offered to patch up any holes in my wall and touch up my paint for free. But, man, this shit better be all done Wednesday. I cannot take any more days off.
