Next time, baby, I'll be bulletproof.

Friday night, I used the patio/grill area of the complex for the first time. It was super-hard to light the grill and the benches were hella dirty but it was nice to eat outside. Tom and Jill seemed to enjoy it and the pool, so I think we'll be doing the same thing this coming weekend.

Yesterday, I got up super-early and took the dogs to the beach. Vinni and Lillie were actually swimming in the lake, but I still can't Louie to get over his aversion to being wet and/or dirty. He's such a prissy little thing. We were out there for hours having a grand time, but then this huge doberman mix plowed into Vinni and that was that; the poor little guy took off running to the gate and didn't want to be anywhere near the beach. I spent the rest of the day watching shitty movies and napping on the couch because it was just too fucking hot to move.

Today I got up and went to brunch all my lonesome. Eating alone is something I do a lot and it doesn't bother me. I've decided to use my tumblr to talk about it there. So for reviews of various restaurants (mostly in Chicago), check that out or if you have a tumblr, add me if you like. Anyway, I went to the Edgewater Arts Festival after that, but it was so, so lame. Basically, it was just people selling their art in booths around the Berger House and that's it. Kind of a waste of time to go there; I didn't even see my dog walker's stuff and he was the only reason I went.

Now I'm watching Teen Mom. It's a train wreck. And a flashback to my own teen years. Not that I was a teen mom, but every other girl in my neighborhood had at least one kid before they turned twenty. I don't even know.

vinni the wonder dog, less reading more tv, i fear for our future, lil and lou, lake michigan, swimming, food
