Aww, yeah, baby. That's me at the closing after getting the keys. I'm a home owner. Holy shit. Do you think this means I'm an adult now?
Most importantly: the view! That is Lake Shore Drive and Lake Michigan. Right outside my door!
The park in the back yard and again, the lake.
Historic Edgewater co-op. Also part of my view.
Entrance to my unit. Note the Italian marble floor and the custom closet doors.
California Custom closets! I have two of them!
View into the unit from the entryway. I kept the black entertainment center 'cause I thought it was kind of cute.
Dining room into the kitchen.
Ugly appliances! Run!
Bathroom.
Me standing in the bedroom area.
So I spent $250 on cleaning supplies today. The place really needs it as the unit hasn't been occupied in over a year and the woman who lived there before was quite old and cleaning was obviously not a priority. I'm also replacing the extremely ugly pale green carpet and the even worse vinyl in the kitchen with hardwood floors. The horribly old appliances are getting replaced with stainless steel and I'm putting in a new faucet too as that one doesn't even function. I'm thinking about replacing the sink/cabinet in the bathroom too; mainly because the sink is laughable. You can see in the one photo that there is this random door that really goes to nowhere which I'm taking out and using that little breezeway as an office. There is also painting that needs to be done. I'm going with a red and cream theme, I think.
