surprisingly, our ceo gave us two hours off in the middle of the day to watch the inauguration. they had it playing in the atrium, auditorium and the lobby which was really nice. especially after the crappy 8:30am phone call i had where i got yelled at over things i have no control over whatsoever.
anyway, opinions on elizabeth alexander's poem? most of us just sat there snickering because yeah. it was more like a badly read sermon than a poem. you have to wonder how people get chosen for these things.
overall it was pretty awesome to sit with my co-workers and watch them clap and laugh and cry. and the flub on the oath of office was kinda cute! nice to have a president who doesn't think he's god.
