picked up my parents at 12:30 this morning, didn't get to bed until 3am. miraculously, they didn't wake me up until noon even though they got up at eight. dad was kind pissed about me ripping the doors off my closet, but was over it by this morning. i mean, i have to live in this room and it's tiny. trying to cram my entire apartment into a room the size of my closet there is kinda hard, ya know.
anyway, went to see the x-files: i want to believe...
i think this is probably the last movie. if you stayed through the end of the credits, you know why. it was all very happily ever after. which is fine by me. i really think this should have been a made for tv movie anyway, but i guess those don't get a budget for killer two-headed dogs and miles of snow. whatever.
mulder and scully finally got it on yet still call each other mulder and scully. what is with that?!
massive lol to callum keith rennie making his obligatory presence in any movie filmed in canada. yet another one where he plays a crazy killer. but! at least it was a crazy killer who only wants to save his (only legal in massachusetts) husband. even if that means kidnapping chicks and hacking off their heads. btw what the fuck is that shit?!
my dad thought he did a really good job of acting though. he totally thought callum was russian. even though i point him out every time i see him and mention that he's a canadian actor. so.
i always liked the weird shit stories better than the alien conspiracy theory ones. now i need to pull down my dvds and watch me some "small potatoes."
there's this website where you can download free software to learn a language. it's flashcards and whatnot. i downloaded the hindi ones tonight and i already know how to say animal names in hindi! it's
over here if anyone else is interested. i wish they had kannada thought because it's the first language of my new hires. followed by hindi and then english. i know i don't have to speak their native language(s) to work with them, but i'd like to know some of the basics anyway.
i've been making my dad watch dr. horrible's sing-along blog and i can't tell whether he is amused or horrified.
this is probably news to no one but me, but itunes finally has doctor who and torchwood available to buy! must download now.
edit: i wish my investment funds would stop sending me letters telling me that some dude quit and now another dude is managing my fund. okay so i'm sure they're legally obligated to do so, but i could care less. plus, it reminds me of stock brokers jumping off high rises on black thursday in old movies. depressing.
