the convention was pretty damn awesome. in the middle of the floor was the international foods section and i'm pretty sure i ate my own weight in cheese and imported meat. i mean, every single booth had cheese out and i love cheese so how was i supposed to resist that?! plus there were a couple of places handing out giant bowls of gelato and i had a banana one that was to die for. the organic section was kind of boring but i had the best grilled cheese ever made from rudi's organic bread which they have at the super target according to rudi's website and i totally have to go there now and buy it. omg i think i am still pretty much stuffed from that.
blah blah blah work corporate politics etc. oh but i'm finally getting my 2007 review next week! which means i will have a raise on friday's paycheck. i better get more than 'cost of living' or i'm going to have to choke a bitch.
last night, i saw iron man WHICH WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME YOU MUST GO SEE IT IMMEDIATELY. what a great start to the summer movie season. it had trailers for the following must-see movies: indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull, batman: the dark knight, the incredible hulk, and the happening. i am so excited for all these movies to come out, you have no idea. i was like punching my mom in the shoulder every time a new trailer came on. well, except for the adam sandler and mike meyers movies. actually, the adam sandler one didn't look half-bad but mike meyers really needs to like hang up his hat; his movie is a total rip-off of the guru with jimi mistry.
speaking of rip-offs, i bought blair mastbaum's new book and it was pretty much the same as his first book, only worse! i did a scathing review on amazon.com but it's probably not up there yet. you really have to wonder how the publishing world works if crap like this makes it past the slush pile.
talked to bren and tom last night. tom has a nationstate! poor bren is depressed over his break-up but at least he talked to me about it. that kid, i swear.
have to go to see dr. m soon. yay.
