This is so unbelievable that I seriously need to mark it on my calendar.
Get this, Dad and I had a discussion about religion last night over pizza and he told me that I didn't have to come to Church for Easter. Like, he really doesn't agree with organized religion either, but he goes there just to reconnect with the community, which I kind of think is bullshit since he only goes twice a year like everyone else, but whatever. I didn't have to sit through an hour of hypocrisy. On the other hand, I still had to get up early to make brunch (French Toast with cream cheese and fresh fruit, sausage links, fresh-squeezed orange juice, freshly ground coffee) and now I get to make dinner (turkey breast, roasted new potatoes, stuffing, deviled eggs, and cherry tarts for dessert). But hell, if cooking, which is something I enjoy anyway, is the trade-off for finally, after seventeen years, getting Dad to see he can't force religion onto me, it's totally worth it.
In between cooking, I've seriously got to do laundry and do more cleaning in the basement. Weekends are seriously not long enough anymore.
