My ambition in life is to look good on paper.

When I got off the train today, like every day, ten people ran past me and through the parking lot to their cars. Every day, I resist the urge to pull out my phone and tape this because it is possibly the most pathetic thing I've ever seen in my life. The people running to their cars are always, always executives. Usually, they are wearing three-piece suits. Or if they are female, they are wearing stilettos that could be used as a weapon and a business suit with a skirt so short that it is probably illegal in several countries. The best part is that after they dive into their cars and tear out of the lot, usually just barely avoiding hitting several pedestrians and/or other cars, they wind up sitting parked on the access road to 80th Avenue. Meanwhile, I have strolled to my car and waited for the pedestrians to pass before backing out and sailing past them as I turn onto Veterans' Parkway. Veterans' Parkway takes you to 183rd Street, which I turn left on to go to Harlem Avenue. If you turn right on 183rd and go down a bit, you wind up at 80th Avenue past the traffic. Apparently this has never occurred to any of them as they sit in their Escalades and bark on their cell phones. I think this really just proves that most rich people are not rich because they are smart, but rather because they are idiots who got lucky.

Also, my dad has discovered Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs and he likes it. This is shocking because this is the man that will listen to the B-sides to the worst albums ever and think they are brilliant.

music makes the people come together, it's okay learn to play, adventures in public transportation
