So deep that it didn't even bleed.
I was supposed to have my mid-year yesterday, but it got pushed back until today. To my great surprise, my manager had nothing but good things to say. She gave me all "meets expectations" on my cores and went on and on in the comments about how valuable I've been to the team. The only non-glowing comment was that she wanted me to learn more of the analysis side of the job, but that was more of a suggestion than anything else and a lot of that is up to her anyway. So, she's in town next week and we'll go over some of that. She also said, "You've got a great future ahead of you with this company if that's what you'd like." I almost hee'd, but I restrained myself. That phone call pretty much made my day.
This morning, I had a meeting at the crack of dawn, which I didn't enjoy at all. It's a standing meeting to prepare for a standing meeting that I go to on Thursdays. I was like, a meeting to prepare for a meeting?!? What in the fresh hell is this?!? The only good thing about it is that, unlike the Thursday meeting, this one is for our group only and our group actually has a sense of humor.
My brother just called me from Mitchell, South Dakota, home of the World's Only Corn Palace! He wanted me to find a decent but cheap hotel for him online. What did we do before the internet?
So, ha, I'm writing this epic high school AU about the Canrockers. It started out as this little plot bunny and now it's 16 pages long! The sad thing is that I'm not even close to being done with it. Sob.
Also, I have decided that I like The Used? Yeah, search me. I think I need a Bert McCracken icon now though.
