Draco removed his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Once again, the horrible smell of rotten egg was giving him a headache and keeping him from finishing his breakfast.

“Pansy!” he yelled from the dining room table as he cast the Prophet aside.

“What?” Pansy called, clearly unhappy with having her bath interrupted.

Draco left behind the few remaining scraps of toast on his plate and stomped into the bathroom, which Pansy didn’t bother locking. She was soaking in a steaming marble tub that stood in the middle of the large room. “Did you finish the Prophet yet?” she snapped.

“No,” Draco replied curtly.

“Did you get to my article yet?” Pansy asked. Indeed Draco had gotten to it; it was a lengthy, scholarly piece about Muggle influence on the Wizarding world, with a barely-noticeable Pureblood bias. He would never finish the whole thing-too dry for his taste.

“Forget the bloody Prophet. I’m about to vomit from that rotten-egg stench,” Draco complained as he sat down on the closed toilet, leaning his head against the wall.

Pansy twisted the hot-water faucet with her big toe. “Well, what do you want me to do about it? It’s the bloody Finnigans and their dozens of children. They’re the ones who hide eggs all over the neighborhood and then don’t bother picking them up. What did I tell you-Half-Bloods are moving into all the good streets. Quidditch money,” she scoffed.

“Well, let’s go yell at them!” Draco whined.

Pansy smiled deviously. “You want to? I have nothing to do today…” She gasped as realization dawned on her. “I could write an article about it! We could try to make egg hunts illegal! Bloody children … see, that’s why we’re not having any.”

“Yes, that’s why we don’t have any yet,” Draco countered.

Pansy shot him a dirty glance and Draco changed the subject.

“Fine, fine, write your article. Just go over there with me today. Nobody can do Cranky Bitch on a Mission like you can, Darling.”

“That’s so sweet of you,” Pansy drawled as she leaned her head back against the tub. “So nice to know that the flame of romance is still alive in our marriage.”

“Well, what can I say? We’re one of a kind.”
