Well the Giants game has ended and we are safe at home. Barry Zito had control and location issues again today, and the Reds jumped all over him. Walk, single, walk, single, a triple at some point, and the Reds were up 8-1 after two innings. Pat Misch got my support though by going through six or seven innings and only giving up a walk and two hits totalling a run to three or four strikeouts in about as many pitches as it took Zito to survive the first two rounds. Oh well. The weather was beautiful, and 39,000 other people made it their business to be there, so it was not a total loss. It was little league day, which was immediately apparent by all of the school kids in uniforms and the wooden bats they were handed at the gate. Reminds me of when I was in little league. I never got to run around the basepaths at a Giants or A's game, though. Ah, to be young again...
If you'll excuse me, I have a sandwich and an IPA waiting for me... be well, everyone.
