[private: hard]This isn’t a dream. Manhattan is under attack. Three big monsters, lots of crabs. Fictional characters are real. There are talking animals. Other kinds of people too. Everyone comes from different points in time. Morris, the earliest of the group. Me, one ( Read more... )

keeping an eye on the horizon, use a pow block right?, not that kind of secret agent, on duty, listen to the backbeat, trying to be social?

Yep, but you'll wanna even the odds with some good ol' fashioned tool use. People used to be able to bash their heads in with bats n' stuff, but you'll probably want something with more force against the tougher ones nowadays. Sledgehammers if you can swing 'em fast enough, edged clubs that might split the carapace, picks n' warhammers that're made to pierce armor anyway (though you'd need to be able to pull 'em out after the hit), maybe a crossbow if you can get enough ammo, a heavy-duty gun...

My fave's pepper spray. Leaves 'em squirming, gives you plenty of time to run, light, easy to use. Might also try exploiting stink bombs or other kinds of smells. They don't seem to like those either.

That tough?

... Seems like what I know won't work. If bats are no good, neither is a straightstick.

Well, they kinda work, but you need to hit 'em more to bring 'em down that way. You could go with some kinda halberd, too. Either way, my recommendation's pepper spray. Get some hot sauce n' a few other ingredients into a spray bottle, let 'er rip.

Hot sauce?

Don't suppose they have a peanut allergy too.

I wish! Would make things easier.

Still, pepper's a common eye irritant, though. S'why you've got 'em used by police forces as less-lethal control tools.

Hm, makes sense. I'll put it on the grocery list.
