I've been seriously slacking on my diet lately. As a result, I haven't lost any weight in the last couple of weeks. Boo.
My biggest challenge in dieting is that I almost feel OBLIGATED to have this HUGE variety of food in the house - snacks, candy, convenience food, ingredients to make elaborate meals, etc.
What I'm thinking about doing is cutting back and simplifying. I'm compiling a list of foods to keep on-hand, and then I'll only make dishes that can be made from those foods.
Probably the biggest change I'm considering is cutting out all processed/refined grains. I don't really like the idea of a super low-carb diet, but I feel like eliminating things like bread and pasta, and eating more brown rice, oats, etc. would probably do me a lot of good.
Actually, I'm pretty well cutting out processed foods entirely.
I've just noticed that I invariably feel SO MUCH BETTER after eating a simple meal of whole foods. I want to feel that way all the time!
