So I turned in a paper a while back, and it was ridiculous and I turned it in on a Friday when it was due the Monday before. :/ It was terrible and stressful b/c obviously that's just bad. I just put it in the GSI's mailbox and didn't say anything about it - kinda hoping she wouldn't have checked her mail recently or something. Then she was going on about how our grades weren't as good as our midterms because most of the students hadn't done a very good job of answering the questions posed in the assignment, and something about how we talked about representation incorrectly.
ANYWAY this morning we got our papers back, and I was hoping to get a C, counting the lateness and the quality of that paper, and how she was going on about our not-so-fantastic grades. Then I was looking through and it looked okay from her notes, you know the standard sidenotes of "explain more" and "good, but..." blah blah blah. There was one part though, where I had forgotten the name of the author I was citing, and left a big _______________, meaning to go back and fill it in, but then apparently I never did. OOPS. In my mind that should be a big red flag for "I DIDN'T PUT ENOUGH EFFORT INTO THIS PAPER".
I got an A. And an underlined "Well done!"
WHAT?! Please grade this way on all the assignments and tests from now on. That would be just fine!
In other news, I miss my camera and am getting a little stir-crazy. I wish I could make everyone's lives be perfect, when in reality I have a hard time making people crack a smile. GAH. And I am really hormonal and wanting some love. I am not going to be a Program Assistant because both Anna A. and Heather L. are coming back to camp this year; so hopefully I'll find out tomorrow what I'll be if anything, and it makes me nervous how so many people applied b/c I just want all the people I want to be there to be hired. I think Jessica and I might go to Bubble Island sometime. I love Sharayah and StumbleUpon, and Sharayah was great how excited she was about Captain Wood and Captain Nauta being so enthusiastic about our little Mission Exchange thingy. And did I mention I want some love?
That last paragraph was just for kicks, in case you get bored and need a healthy dose of Girlyness. :)
