i was innocently practicing some orissi and the television was showing the stupid fucking phantom movie which i avoided seeing for a whole lot of reasons. a) andrew lloyd webber is a sellout pussyslut and he doesn't deserve my dollars and b) the hugely missed opportunity of casting michael "i gave it to musical theatre's greasedup dough-hold" crawford (excuse: 50-something year old crawford appears to old to play a 50-year old character that oh yeah wears a mask). dumb fucking dumb. without crawford, lloyd webber's phantom is just another shamelessly hokey and self-indulgent musical. craford is godlike unique in the way that serj is. fuck fuck fuck. so anyway, the hack wears sexy frilly shirts to expose a tan fit form, because there is a lot of light under the opera house. his vocal treatment of already dubious/flawed music is not much unlike ....1980's buttrock ballads. oh except for a few tremulous moments where he actually no joke did a breath-for-breath impression of crawfords exact same (not to mention famous and culturally imprinted) enunciation of the phrase. i almost didn't believe it when i saw it. also, can we talk about makeup/costumes/hair/film quality reminiscent of storyline porn?
