Love as a word has always held unfathomable meanings for me. As though seeing loves face partially, some features shadowed in doubt I struggled desperately to define it. But what whole can you know only partially? You are my sole comfort when the world makes me recede into myself, when my own being forsakes me.

I see you, an Ocean. Your powers strong and vast beyond my delicate being. Yet, you find each gentle moment to caress the shorelines, whispering lullabies to tired eyes. Each one eager to see and feel more, you push and pull against the wild ache for day. Frustrated with endings I cry-wailing! My tears a mist against your heavy wash. Swallowing up those tears of mine, you have shown me how a part begot a whole.

Mirror of sky, you await some face to face. Well I am here Daniel, as Narcissus, staring into you. They will say I am in love with my reflection, but I know that my love's in your perceptions. For, when the rest had left me drowned I am refreshed only by your waters.

Though it's been said that we are the authors of our own tragedies. This is why you linger softly on these pages of love, knowing well enough that endings are made for beginnings. You tuck my stubborn head away into our bed with the sweetest howls to bring in the tomorrow.

Nightly calm you sleep. Unaware of the world revolving inside you. The dear necessity you have become for those who know enough to love you.
