A part of me gets really jealous when I see people have normal deliveries of babies. I hate that. I am tempted to find a doctor who will do a vbac for the next one, but I don't want to labor forever only to have a c-section again. I don't know. Aparently I wasn't made to deliver babies naturally.

the scare with a VBAC is uterine rupture, which happens about 1% of the time (maybe it's 0.1%? i can't remember...either way, pretty low number). and where the c-sec cut is made is a determining factor in that risk. the low, small, horizontal cuts that doctors usually make these days really reduce the risk of rupture. think of all the women who've given birth naturally after a c-section in the past (i can think of quite a few in my family) when the risk was higher yet complications didn't occur. there's a risk for a million things to happen in pregnancy and childbirth, but they're usually diagnosed and treated promptly these days. finding a doctor willing to do a VBAC might be harder than actually pushing that little human into the world haha. i'm not sure what midwives views are on the whole thing. this is pretty much what i learned last year in school.

Yeah, that has been my findings too in the research that I have done. There are very few doctors who will do them these days and it's unfortunate.
