Light a fire, let's burn out.

So the summer heat has finally abated! It's beginning to cool down here in Japan, and the time is coming for me to pick up the pace on my knitting. I love wool, far too much to endure summers without at least knitting warm, cozy winter hats. I have pictures, and I need to post them soon. I've been knitting like a fiend lately, and I just finished the yoke on a sweater of my own design. We'll see how it turns out soon enough.

In other news, life in the Fuckyomama is quieter now. I've been going out maybe one night a week, a big improvement over what I had been doing before. I predict that may increase with the turn in the weather. My personal plan for improvement is to travel more, and I'm heading to Kyoto this weekend to visit a friend and enjoy a new nightlife scene. As much as I love where I'm living, it's still tiring going out with the same people to the same places every weekend and doing the same things. We need some more adventure! There has been a discussion of themed weekend events, but I don't know how likely that is to happen. It's a lot of talk around here and not a lot of action.

I'm trying to plan a time to come back to the States for a couple of weeks. I don't know if I'll be able to touch base with many of you since everyone seems to have scattered themselves to the four corners of the globe. When my plans are set in stone, I'll let you know so hopefully we can hang out for a bit.

Take care, lotta love, continue being awesome!
