cheesegasukiIf you know me well enough, you know I knit. I knit hats, especially. I have a LOT of knit hats, so many that I only wear a few. There was not enough room in my suitcase to bring all of them to Japan. What made the cut were the cream of the crop, the perennial favorites I could wear all through the summer just for the sake of covering my amazing cranium in handknits.
Even of what I have brought over and what was mailed over by my family is still not enough. The knitting bug bit hard over a particularly blue weekend, and I made it.
All I can say is SQUEEEEEEE! Easy to knit, cool to look at, and has a particularly fascinating interplay of colors. It also helps that the yarn was found in the bargain bin at my Japanese LYS. Ironically enough, Noro isn't really marketed here in Japan, so I settled for the softer, brighter, fluffier yarn that was half price and soft on the fingers.
Knitty Winter 2008 Vortex. Knit it, knit it good.
