I've been wanting to go to Japan for years. It was fun, yes. But I don't miss it. Don't know why, but it seems as though nothing can compare to Cambodia. I miss Cambodia. A whole lot. Mostly those nights at the village where we slept under the Pelican Tree (heh and monkey and horse!) and just talked. And the stars (tho the trees were blocking). The 'bathroom' where we had to cover the opening with our towels and wear sarongs (saris according to mr hao) to the toilet. The disgusting toilet which I hated - all the flies attracted to night lights and the flushing system-.- The heat. Carrying rocks. Heart-to-heart talk. Playing cards on our 'bed' before meeting. The squatting game - the power to help others. Hold-hands-go-in-laws game. Guys playing soccer and losing horribly (Murfei's broken specs). Shopping at the markets - looking for straw hat; haojie and his 40 bucks ripoff; vah and her 'lousy' bargaining. Act emo at war museum (okay no, it was emo). Camwhoring like mad the last night. Prank call from the artificial Cambodian pizzaman, tsk. Waking up way too late in the morning to mr hao's incessant ringing and rushing out (losing my earrings). Scandals. More camwhoring at the airport with Mrs Chin as well.
Everything.
Japan's really pretty. In a totally different way from ocip. The weather was on the cold side (but dayum no snow!) and the streets always looked so picture-perfect. But the temple at Kamakura were the prettiest. All the colours of the leaves, the buddhas and the sky side by side. Nomnomnom. We took the train all around. Pros at navigating via the subway now(; Even tho jie got left at the station once when we rushed for the train. I always loved boarding the train cos it's so much warmer than the stations, some of which are open air. The bullet train (shinkansen) was awesome possum tho! Looks like the interior of a plane! But we only took it once after the one-day tour to mt fuji. Mt fuji was wow. We were in the clouds!(: Just like the Europe school trip! I love how it never gets out of sight. And the wintery feel. Snow and ice, things we didn't get in Tokyo. We had our first taste of Tokyo banana at the Tokyo station then. Love at first taste<3 heh.
Kite-flying on Sunday please(:
For our harmony, benefit of the doubt.
I realised, you could lose a friend in a year, or a month. But a lover in a week. Urgh-nnoying max.
