I'm leaving for a week in Seattle tomorrow and for once, I just might get some sleep the night before a trip.
With the Breaking Dawn release coming up at the end of the week, there's a lot of party prep work to be done and I was at work until close to 1 a.m. last night to help put the finishing touches on the accompanying window display. I wish I had a picture of it to post, but it ties in a lot of the cover imagery from all four Stephenie Meyer books and we creatively rigged black curtains.
After a few hours of sleep, I went into work for a few hours on my off day to take care of applying event themed iron-ons to shirts and hats for the event staff. Add in running around to buy odds and ends for the trip plus spending the night packing, and I'm exhausted.
I'm not going to bring the laptop since I expect this will be a busy vacation. I think we're shooting for Vancouver on Monday or (and?) Tuesday and the San Juan Islands on Wednesday, and that might be more than one day since my uncle has a vacation house there. If we're hanging around Seattle on Friday, I'm going to see if I can make it to the Mariners game.
