I thought it might be humorous to get some of your responses to these questions, considering some of you have "non-traditional" political beliefs. Plus, I have a feeling that the majority of the answers to this will reflect the jingoist strain of patriotism that has been running its course since September 11th and I want to help give the class a broader, more accurate range of responses.
"The seventh grade gifted philosophy classes at Seminole Middle School are
sponsoring a project entitled "These things we believe!". The project is
designed to assist them in clarifying the spirit and philosophy of
America's people as well as to encourage them to experience the rich oral
tradition alive in our nation. You are invited to share your view by
writing a letter that expresses what you value as an American. You may wish
to ponder these guidelines as you marshal your thoughts; however, please
exercise your right to free speech by relating your views of the American
tradition!

What beliefs do Americans cherish?
