The play's the thing.

Less than awesome occurings:

  • Am without laptop for at least 2 weeks whilst being repaired.. Fuck. Found company that hires it out but yet to discover if I can afford it.
  • Really shitty relationship with Dad at home. We're back to the usual war.
  • Depression still kicking in.
  • Reunion dinner with school friends was...disappointing... Due to Hannah, the girl in charge, basically telling us off for not clubbing and not actually letting anyone else catch up because she was too busy talking about herself.
  • Plus, I got food poisoning from the meal and threw up everywhere last night. Lol.
  • Man's granddad is in hospital again :( Thus making his Mum, who's crazy about her Dad, thoroughlly miserable.
  • If my plan falls through, I don't get Man for 2 weeks.
Check it: I've not seen Man since Tuesday. We've never gone longer than 8 days without seeing each other. But due to him going back to supply teaching work early, plus rehearsals every night, and my obligation to visit cousins next weekend, this record is threatened.... BUT wish me luck with this as going to ask his Mum to pick me up from the station so I'll be there this Tues evening when he gets back from rehearsal. And I can stay for 2 whole nights, even if he's getting in round midnight. Plus, it sounds like his Mum could do with some company right now. So wish me luck to see if it works!

THE DILEMMNA: Do I do the Seagull? Do I do Midsummer Night's Dream? as my play in the summer.
Seagull pros: love the play, new group and good contacts. cons: Rehearsals overlap with RADA term time, Alex cannot see it, role of Nina not guaranteed
Dream pros: easy rehearsal space as novelty of the company is doing a play in 2 weeks so easy arrangement, if I can convince director might get role of Bottom which would make play worth it, get to do play with Alex cons: less fond of the play, not fond of the company, not guaranteed good quality product

I'm leaning more and more towards The Dream. I get truly knackered at RADA so 3 times a week going off after a day's work to go rehearse for another 3 hours is daunting. And Alex not being able to see it is a really big deal for me. As pathetic as that is.
Also, perhaps I could pad my summer out with doing other smaller things? Arrange a playreading with my friends? Arrange a poetry evening because my RADA friends have been asking me about that for a while now? If anyone has any thoughts, let me know...

SIGH. The dilemmnas of actors.

Cooler things happening lately.
  • Actually getting somewhere with my playscript.
  • Get to talk to my Man, who's really enjoying his rehearsals so he's far more perky and happy lately. And basically can think about him to make me happy.
  • Got to have a couple of days just catching up with friends, esp my good friend Classy.
  • Been bonding with my dog; being serious, she makes me so happy, my fluffy cuddly friend. Unadulterated love.
  • Found a box of cigars worth £250! So going to sell them to a guy online.
I miss Alex more than I can say.
