Nigerian kidnapped little girl released!

OK, I don't get it- the 3 year old girl in Nigeria who was kidnapped by rebels has been released. Isn't that fantastic! Yes, wonderful! It happened on the 9th July, but I actually had to go looking for news on her because I was so worried about her, and there had been zero news since the report of her kidnap. WTF?
Mebbe it's cause they don't like the idea that the parents paid the necessary ransom money. But really that's not the issue here, is it? 2 girls, daughters of important Nigerian authorities, were released. That's such awesome news, and it's been killing me wondering about this poor little girl that they threatened to kill! Then they don't even put it on TV? Craziness.

I've regressed to full on LOTR love. Yay! Re-reading the book, watching the DVDs. I can never ever tire of them, it's mad, I always get so excited about it. I finished another novel yesterday- double yay! And editing it, I discover I'm more satisfied with it than I was initially. I'm such a perfectionist when it comes to writing and acting and then the very opposite when it comes to anything else. However, in this case, I'm quite pleased.

Came back from holiday on Sunday from Corsica, which was great. My French was panicky and consisted mainly of 'Merci's and 'Bonjour's but when I had a minute to prepare, lol, I was fine. The landscape was gorgeous and the weather amazing. I'm so brown now, hah. Weather in UK's good too; hope you're all having a nice sunny day!

book world, languages, lotr, france etc, good causes, family
