and heard that we'll have to wait until March 1st to vote on a local option sales tax, because hurricane Dennis has left us unprepared for the Novemember vote. Also, county commissioners voted on an interesting proposal from the beach tourism board. Since Pensacola Beach looks like a pile of tinker toys from a year of bad storms, and most of our beach attractions and hotels are destroyed, the tourism board suggests a new timetravel tunnel be placed on Via Deluna Drive on the beach near Flounder's restaurant. According to local scientists, three unnamed members of the county commission and one stoned economics professor from UWF, this new, very short tunnel will allow local residents of Pensacola to go back to 1982, when the beach was big fun and no one worried about hurricanes. Back to a time when the motels were one story, brightly colored block buildings that cost 35 bucks a night, when you could shell out a five spot and share a room with 7 of your closest friends, stick a keg in the bathtub and fill the room with smoke until you ran outside, lost your balance in the sand and crashed into the Gulf of Mexico.
Ah. Tonight I took a break from stacking cans of pork and beans and decided to travel forward in time to paint this awesome image of Cat sitting in our attic. This painting is from the year 2030. I don't need no stinking tunnel!
