Hello folks. So I hope that my SS card comes in the mail before tomorrow because I have to fill out paperwork for my job. That would really suck balls if I couldn't work because the mail is stupid.
Anyway...I saw In the Heights last week, which is an off-Broadway musical that is moving to Broadway pretty soon. It was good; the music was good and so was the singing, and the choreography was insane, but the story needs a little work I think. It made me feel very very white though. Everyone in the cast is either latino or black. I enjoy it when there is some ethnicity in the show because Broadway is pretty darn white most of the time. Oh, and the student rush seats are about six inches from the stage so the entire show I could see up every girl's skirt. Thankfully they were all wearing underwear.
I also went to see this band play Tuesday night. It was fun, though you guys would all make fun of me and call it "hippy music." It is...kinda. But it was still fun. Its like...hippy music that got kicked out of the genre. They're too rowdy for the other hippies. And there was an old MTV VJ in the audience, which was kind of funny. Its sad that I still remember the MTV personalities from back in the day. I remember lots of stupid things.
And I think its becoming an issue when the usher lady, the doorman, the guys that set up the theater and clean the sidewalk in the morning, and several cast members from Spring Awakening start recognizing you. Tomorrow will be the 7th time in 4 weeks which I know is insane and I'm definitely way beyond dork at this point, but I can't help it. But hey, I've only seen Rent 3 times since I've been here. Not that that's making it any better...
