Does anyone have a good technique for starting fires with peat bricks? I've been using cardboard as kindling, but is seems to take forever for the bricks to catch alight
Ah, I thought it would take an irishman to answer this question.
Sticks eh? The kind that fall out of trees? There's not many stick wielding trees round here, so what sort of place might sell them in bags? I bought the bricks in a Spar, but saw no sticks there.
We buy them with the bricks at the garage. Hmmmmmm, i don't know where to find them in the big city. if there is a garage nearby, they might have some. You might get by without them, but you will definatly need the firelighters.
Well, I've got a big pile of cardboard boxes I need to get rid of, so mayhap I'll get some firelighters and roll the cardboard up into stick-like yokes.
I thought for a minute you were using turf:P
