I love summer
Today was such a gorgeous day and I didn't waste one second of it!
So the plan was to pick up Steven at 11 today after getting my haircut at Oakland Mall. But I ended up not leaving until 10:20 and called Mariel so we could add her to our plans. So I picked her up and picked Steven up about ten minutes late, all because I missed his stupid street! Hehe. Anyway, day went kinda as follows:
Royal Oak for Salvation Army run and lunch at Jimmy John's.
Meningitis vaccine shot and picked up dry cleaning (with Steven and Mariel). Then got ready for park and got the car all packed up at my house with outdoor play stuff. Then Kyle calls. WOO! Wants to know if I can meet him in Ann Arbor later today because he and his cousin are driving up there from Ohio for dinner and hanging out. Well, dilemma since I already had plans.
Went to the park as planned and saw Sandy, Tiff, Steve Johnson, and met Christina. Later saw Ian and Mark too. So we played a bit of volleyball and track ball and kinda soccer and then Kyle called and I had a decision to make. So I decided that I wanted to go but that I absolutely could not lie to my parents so I had to call and ask them. Well, that did not go over so well since they were still in Pennsylvania and did not want me trecking to AA with them not around and my car acting up as much as it is. So Mariel, Steven, and I went to Ann Arbor anyway.
Got there and picked up Dave. It was so nice to finally meet him. He is a really nice guy and reminds me a ton of Dylan. Even looks a bit like him. Then we met up with Kyle, his cousin Maureen (Mo), and her boyfriend Steven. We walked aroung Gallop Park for a while and then went to Mongolian Barbecue for dinner. Good stuff.
We were gonna go to Hollister but ended up not having enough time after dinner, so we walked around a bit and ran into Amita and Diana, both of whom went to the IA. Amita and I were really quite close friends back in the day. So we kinda caught up on each other's lives. It was cool. And then it was time to go. And that is very sad. Because that meant leaving Kyle.
So we went back to the parking garage and Kyle and I said our goodbyes, since he comes back Saturday night and I leave Saturday morning. Hopefully, I'll get to talk to him on the phone soon though. It was awesome to see him and to finally meet Mo. And I miss him again already!
I sincerely had the best day ever. Any day with Kyle in it is just such a treasure. I need to make sure he knows that.
Steven and Mariel, thanks for such a great day! You guys rock! And Dave, thanks for showing us around town a bit! It was truly great to meet you finally. And of course Kyle, thank you so much for just being you. See you soon, and talk to you sooner.
I'm off to watch A Walk to Remember and to bawl my eyes out. Gnight.
