If you have these things memorized, and believe in the words in them, why do you do all the things that you do? I'm not trying to be mean, I really am just curious about that.

How is honoring what your father was by becoming it yourself a futile situation? I'd think that was kind of meaningful.

That's not true. You could have met someone, got married, had kids. You could have eventually made yourself something more than a watchmaker's son, if that's what you really wanted to be. You just took the easy way out, and went all crazy and power hungry.
