looking in on the good life I might be doomed never to find

Warning: Mild irreverence.

I Need To Change My Taste In Men
I need to change my taste in men
or I will meet a lonely end:

The boys I loved were far from cads
Indeed, they were all Christian lads
Good Christian Boys are, as a rule,
virtuous and cruel

For if my hands they deign to kiss
My lips they’d sooner give a miss!
And they might walk me to my door
But take a further step no more

For God is watching everywhere
And sin would lead to His despair
A voyeur keen on purity -
What good to me is chastity?

‘Sin is sweet!’ I sorely plead
But they are chaste in word and deed
And when they see my blackened heart
O swift the way those boys depart!

I need to change my taste in men
Or I will soon go round the bend.

(I think I know what I must seek:
A woman who will meet my needs.)

levity is the spice of life, something wicked this way comes
