It's not a library!

I was informed by a member of staff in the Central Library that the library would be closed in the next few weeks for the redevelopment, at the mean time a small service centre will be open in the World Museum Liverpool next door. I said right without thinking too much about it: I just return the books and pay my outstanding fees in few weeks, that should be fine, this redevelopment has got nothing to do with me. The achieve redevelopment video is also shown at the main entrance during the opening hours and I did see it briefly and agreed it looked contemporary and nice... until I saw this in full:

OMG that's not a library that's a shopping mall! What they are doing to the old lovely library?! Do they really understand what they are doing?! The are destroying the culture of William Brown Street! It is supposed to look OLD and friendly not some stupid contemporary concrete crap! 50 million pounds for that, you are joking!

The old shelves, old staircases and that special old smell from old books are important characters of the library, why they destroy all of unique characters and build a ordinary looking shopping mall you can find anywhere instead? You don't need another Liverpool One if you've already got one.

I might like it once it's done even if I highly doubt it. I was upset I might move out next month but I'm less upset now cuz I have a chance not see the sad thing happens through my own eyes.
