Day 10, Tokyo - The Shopping Day

Written in Dublin on 19th of August

The sudden realisation, that it was nearly time to leave Japan hit that day. But there was still things to do and see. Me, Yo and Emily headed to Harajuku, where we met my cousin and dared ourselves into the chaos called Laforet Grand Sale. Laforet was several floors of stores, mostly clothes, but also some accessories. And the sale is famous, it's crazy. People swarming, huge discounts, time sales, shop assistants yelling and advertising their wares.
We started from the goth style shops and I found some really nice things. And never really climbed to the upper stores, shopping can be quite tiring.
We ate tempura, walked around the famous Harajuku shopping street. I bought some more stuff and realised I'd have hard time fitting it all in my backbag - so bought a new bag. Overall it definitely was nice, but I started to run out of money.
That evening we went to eat with Jarel, and it was nice, the table had a kettle with boiling water and we got plates of fresh meat and vegetables and cooked them in the water and dipped them in sauce. Delicious meal. Afterwards we went to the karaoke, and sang and drank for few hours. Merry evening.
